« on: February 08, 2008, 12:23:36 AM »
Here is a list of current server problems. If you notice a glitch or bug please post here.

please note that the server resets everyday at 10AM GMT

A few people have complained about lag.

This could be of several things..

1. Your too fare away. please note the server is in texas.
2. Your connection isnt good enough.
3. You've set your video graphics details too high try lowering them..

anymore suggestions?

I've been having problem with animations. When bringing out his saber, hanging onto ledges, and sometimes in combat, my character will spread his arms straight out, and spread his legs like he is being frisked by airport security. I have already removed the latest d/l's and potentially hazardous pk3's. I'm thinking the vehicle files for the Naboo Hills map may be to blame, that is why I asked on the other thread. Suggestions would be helpful, any solution would be appreciated.

Ok I used to have this problem once myself...yet I never figured out the fix, yet somehow fixed it, lol.

Many skins/models the authors of the said file often thought "Yeah people will love my file so i'll add custom animations and new weapons etc into it, screwing their game slightly."

The new trasnformers models do this.
The new Ninja Turtles Models do this.

Many others do this.

Naboohills 2.1 does not, as those vehicles in that map...didn't come with the map, lol. They are from the base game, those vehicles such as x-wing and lambda class shuttle are in the game the second you click 'yes I want to tinstall Jedi Academy.'

So it is a conflict with some of the custom files you have installed.

Myself, I have all of those maps installed, plus over 200 skin and model files - error free

My suggestion would be, remove all skin/model files from yuor base folder, and place them in you japlus folder. the base folder isn't the most reliable.

Is there a way that I can reduce lag. ya I know there was a post about this but it isn't the server or my game settings. This happens on every server I go onto in every game so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with me being on a wireless connection.  Is there a way to increase the speed of my connection or make it better because it is fine for a little while then it lags out really bad then 2 or 3 seconds later it is fine again.

you could try ending some tasks. press ctrl +alt +del at the same time, then click on processors. and end the ones you don't need.

FPS (frames per second) also can effect lag, technically the more frames epr second your system can handle smoothly, the less likely the chance of lag.

A very common cause of lag not due to connection is having 'dynamic glow' turned on with certain systems, this option can be found in the JA games options menu's, if it is turned on, turn it off, you'll notice a jump in game performance.
